Starting something with intent means starting with a purpose in mind, that is, doing that thing, going to that place, taking that action with a defined goal in mind. In simpler terms, it means taking actions with the sole purpose of achieving things that would develop you or move your endeavors forward.
This exactly is how you should start your 2018. If you have some major 2017 goals that you are yet to achieve, you should not give up on them as they are still very much achievable. It is never too late, and you are not a loser unless you give up.
Writing a new year’s resolutions is not enough. Taking action is what brings you results and the desired growth in your business, education or personal affairs.
Here is how you can start taking actions to achieve your goals
- Write down your goals
- Break them down into little tasks that you can achieve at most 2 hours per day
- Motivate yourself daily by seeing the big picture in your mind
- Commit to completing each task at the same time everyday
- Join a support group
- Get an accountability partner
If you are unable to work at the same time everyday, draw up a schedule of three different times a day and work at any available time within those times. Just make sure you keep to an organized schedule.
If possible, get a writing pad, or jotter, or even sticky notes and write down individual tasks to be completed daily on them.
What are your goals for this year? Start working on achieving them immediately. Say no to procrastination. You may also join us at The Girl Boss Meetup (an offline event) to sit with fellow girl bosses to plan 2018 together, month after month. Learn more about this meetup here.
If you are unable to join us due to location or other commitments, never worry, you can always get a replay of events and soft copies of the event resources. Use the contact form to get on the waiting list.
